On Monday 23rd April we found that our frogspawn has hatched! We now have tadpoles!
On Monday 16th April we found some magic beans! I wonder who they belong to?
How does it grow?
This half term we will be looking at how animals and plants grow and what we can do to help them.

This week (19.03.18) we are looking at people who help us. We have been dressing up like some of them.

For science week F1 made mash potato. We explored the texture of the potato when it was raw and after it was cooked. We used lots of different senses while we made our mash potato. Can you think of which senses we used?
On Monday 12th March we went to visit Jean and the kitchen staff. We had a look around the kitchen and Jean showed us how to make chips!
We celebrated world book day by dressing up as our favorite characters.
We are working hard to keep our teeth clean and healthy. We brush our teeth everyday at school. Don't forget to brush your teeth at home too!!

Friday 16th February
Today we went on our 'Big Ride' trip to celebrate all the learning we have done about Transport. We got the train from Darnall to Sheffield.
We loved the water fountains near the train station
We walked to the Peace Gardens and had a picnic.
We went on the tram for a ride and then on the bus back to Darnall.
Room on a Broom Family Fun!
Today we have had so much fun with our grown ups
doing the following activities:
Making fruit kebab wands
Writing about room on a broom
Flying on a broom stick
Our healthy Day
On Wednesday 7th February we celebrated a healthy day!
Our grown ups had a meeting with Julie Cassidy (NHS community oral health officer) to talk about how they can help up keep our teeth nice and clean.
We had lots of fun healthy activities to do with our families.
Claire from Taylor Shaw came in to see us and talked about healthy eating. She also brought us some yummy healthy fruit and vegetables to try.
In the afternoon we did some exercise to keep us fit and healthy and Julie came back to talk to use about how we can keep our teeth clean.
F1 children have been exploring Miss Mercer's car
and thinking about lots of questions:
Where does the petrol go?
Why do cars need lights?
What is an engine?
What do you put in a car boot?

F2 enjoyed the theatre show this week!
On Wednesday 27th September we had a teddy bears picnic.
We had decorated bear biscuits for our picnic and we invited our families in to join us.
We're going on a bear hunt!
After reading the story Brown bear, Brown bear some of the nursery children have been bear mad! So we decided to go on a bear hunt.
