This half term we have been learning about different printing techniques. We have been learning about Hokusai and his famous 'Great Wave'. This week, we have turned our drawings of his work into prints with repeating patterns. They look brilliant and the class worked extremely hard! Well done, Y6 Lime!

Today (3.5.19) we were lucky enough to work with Rhythmical Mike (aka Mikey Markham) who is a spoken word poet and performer. He was also accompanied with his friend Beetone. They worked with the children to create their own poems and raps using inspirational quotes.

In Geography, we are looking at different places around the world. This week we have logged Michael's journey from Kenzuke's Kingdom using an atlas to locate the places he visited.

For World Book Day, we looked at the story called The Tunnel by Anthony Browne. We read up to the part where the children found a tunnel. The boy went in. The girl waited for her brother to come back, but he didn't. We then had to decide if she should go into the tunnel or not to find him and give reasons.

We used recyclable materials to create our poppies which worked really well.
