Safeguarding Policy and Safeguarding Team

Child Protection Statement.

Our school recognises our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils. We will endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected and valued.

We will be alert to the signs of abuse and maltreatment and will follow our procedures to ensure children receive support, protection and justice.

Core Principles

  • The schools responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children is of paramount importance.
  • Safer children make more successful learners.

There are a wealth of policies, procedures and guidance that supports the school in our efforts to achieve the above. You will find all supporting documents here on the school website or by request to the school office.

At Acres Hill all of our staff are Safeguarding trained and everybody takes responsibility for keeping our children safe.  In school we also have specially trained staff to support children and families when needed.

Please see the poster below for more information on who these staff are.

Safeguarding Policy:

In addition to our bespoke Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, Acres Hill Community Primary School adheres to Working Together 2018, which makes it clear that education settings must comply with its requirements, with the current version of Keeping Children Safe in Education and with any additional requirements placed on them by their local safeguarding partnership.

Acres Hill CPS complies with Sheffield Children Safeguarding Partnership (SCSP) requirements. Their website, core offer, guidance documents and expectations are available via the links below.
