Acres Hill is working in partnership with Taylor Shaw. Taylor Shaw is one of the UK's leading specialist caterers in the education sector and is part of the world renowned Elior Group.
Taylor Shaw operate throughout the UK and they are responsible for the school meals service at Woodhouse West, providing freshly prepared food that contributes to the wellbeing of young people in their learning environment. We know that Taylor Shaw will provide freshly prepared food, a nutritionally balanced diet and innovative menus.
Taylor Shaw will ensure that all students have access to a healthy and affordable choice to eat each day, with options to meet the needs of everyone, including those with notified special dietary requirements. All of our new menus will be fully compliant with the government’s School Food Plan.

NURSERY DINNERS - £2.30 per day (£11.50 per week)
PRIMARY DINNERS - £2.60 per day (£13 per week)
Families in other year groups who pay for school meals can do so using our online payment system 'Arbor'. Please speak to the School Office for help with registering your child's Arbor details.
ALL children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are all eligible for a Universal Infant Free School Meal!

Changes to Free School Meals from September 2026
We want to make families aware of some upcoming changes to Free School Meals (FSM), which may affect pupils from 1 September 2026.
What is changing?
On 8 May 2026, the Department for Education announced changes to how Free School Meals eligibility will work in future, linked to Universal Credit.
These changes will affect:
Important change to current protection
Since April 2018, once a child became eligible for FSM, they have continued to receive them even if their family’s circumstances changed.
This protection will end at the end of the 2025–26 school year on 31 August 2026.
Checking eligibility (summer to autumn term)
Sheffield City Council will be checking free school meal eligibility for all pupils between the summer and autumn term 2026 (and regularly going forwards). This applies to:

Targeted Free School Meals (with additional funding for schools)
Families may be eligible if they receive:
Expanded Free School Meals (meals only)
Families may also be eligible if they receive Universal Credit with a household income above £7,400.
